Lee’s career began back in the early 80’s during the era of the personal computer revolution and spans over twenty-five years in the entertainment industry.
At a young age he began learning computer programming on his Atari computer and ultimately it was his love of video games and that magical machine which steered him to ultimately pursue an education and career in computer science.
Lee spent a number of years in information technology and software engineering and later founded one of the first digital interactive media-based advertising agencies in Dallas, TX. He later sold the company in 1991 and returned to what he loved most…video games. He went on to start several game companies for which he was responsible for all aspects of game production.
He later headed west and joined Virgin Interactive/Viacom Entertainment as Director of Business Development where he managed strategic partnerships and developer relations. In 1998, he joined Midway Games, Inc. where he served as Vice President of Business Development and Acquisitions and was responsible for the company’s global business development, PC digital distribution, developer relations and global licensing.
In 2009, he came full circle and joined the company he had always dreamed of working for in his youth, Atari Inc. As Senior Vice President of Publishing and Licensing, he was responsible for the company’s most beloved and historic video game franchises such as; Asteroids, Centipede, Missile Command, Battlezone, Tempest and countless others as well as the mobile games publishing and digital distribution operations, digital analytics and global consumer products licensing.
